Equimedia are offering an exciting opportunity for a UX developer to join our growing website design, build and optimisation team. You will have around 3 year’s experience working in a design, development and UX focused role, have a passion for best in class code, design and UX, and be able to showcase some of your best work designing and building open-source websites that deliver a conversion uplift and are easy for clients to use.

Based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Key Responsibilities

o   Multi-disciplinary role across UI design, web development and conversion

o   Build new websites working collaboratively with a team of web designers and back-end developers

o   Supporting retained web development clients with BAU changes

o   Develop high quality code and libraries

o   Version control and deployment procedure adherence

o   Creating new wireframes and prototypes

o   Design technically feasible web pages based on wireframes/prototypes

o   Review user feedback data (i.e. heatmaps), draw insights and feed into UI/UX design

o   Attend client calls, meetings and workshops to present and discuss ideas

o   Design and build of HTML5 banners for display advertising

o   Design and setup of new experiments in A/B testing tools (i.e. VWO)

o   Keeping up to date with latest industry trends and best practices

o   To work and keep to tight deadlines

 

Required Skills & Experience

o   Experience in an agency environment as part of a web development team

o   Excellent PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, HTML5 skills

o   Experience developing open-source websites in either WordPress or Drupal (both is ideal)

o   Proficient understanding of version control, i.e. Git

o   Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)

o   Experience working in both waterfall and agile environments

o   Experience working within central workflow management processes i.e. Trello, Basecamp

o   Creative skills essential, with the ability to design website experiences to UX best practice

o   The ability to create interactive wireframes, i.e. Axure, Adobe XD

o   Ability to design and setup new A/B/n test variants

o   Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with internal staff and clients

o   The ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

o   Attention to detail

 

‘Nice to have’ Skills

o   Experience in Drupal 8

o   Familiarity with Angular, React, Laravel, Node and Bootstrap (or the desire to learn these)

o   Experience working in A/B and MVT testing tools (ideally VWO but not-essential)

o   An understanding of the benefits of a structured CRO approach, principles and methodologies

o   Experiment developing eCommerce sites, i.e. WooCommerce, Shopify
