Equimedia are offering an opportunity for an experienced website technical lead/lead developer to join the growing web development team. You will have around 10 years of development experience working in a commercial environment, plenty of client facing experience, a passion for delivering best in class user experiences, the ability to showcase some of your best work creating technical specifications and information architecture, and building PHP based websites & web apps with multiple API and database integrations.

 Key Responsibilities

  • The agencies key dev ops, technical, web development and architectural lead
  • Defining the building blocks and writing technical specifications of all websites we build
  • The agencies key client facing contact from a technical perspective
  • Working on client facing websites in a technical consultative role post go-live
  • To plan and shape our web development solutions alongside the Head of Owned Media
  • Provide leadership and technical support to the web developers
  • To stay on top of technical advancements to ensure we are always continuously improving
  •  Support in website technical and UX audits to help solve client problems and create new opportunities
  •  Coordinating closely with all internal team members including SEO, analytics, project management, design and web development teams

 

Required Skills

  • Experience with PHP, HTML, CSS3, JS Libraries, HTML5, MySQL
  • Experience with Drupal and WordPress, as well as PHP based web apps
  • Experience developing API connections between web apps and third-party systems
  • Experience and ability to design site architecture/information architecture
  • Experience managing migrations and web hosting platforms
  • Experience taking website projects from conception to deployment
  • Experience using tools in the Adobe Creative Cloud
  • An understanding of various technology stacks
  • Ability to work in a variety of waterfall and agile development environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with internal staff and clients
  • Experience and ability to create interactive wireframes

 

Desirable Skills

  • Experience developing front-end code
  • An understanding of GTM and GA – with experience using both preferable
  • Experience and knowledge working on SEO focused websites
  • Experience and ability to create interactive wireframes, ideally in Axure or AdobeXD
  • Project management experience
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise level CMS systems, and how they differ from open-source platforms
  • Experience in the financial services and charity sectors
